Functional Massage and Movement Bodywork AND Traditional Massage

Performance Orthopedic Massage Therapy Bodywork and Wellness, LLC mission is serve from a Whole Being Functionally Integrative Approach to performance, recovery, resiliency, and prevention.
It is my passion to bring about healing to the mind and body through the integration of art and science modalities. Since 2009, Ive been integrating breath into my methods of Body Sustainability Teachings. As a result, I focus on integrating the physiological truths of the orthopedic system and the nervous system. The main type of massage I apply consist of modalities that combine these two systems of the body. Integrative Functional Massage/Functional Massage and Movement Method will require the individual to move into developmental positions alternating from lying down, to kneeling, to standing, combined with massage techniques and most importantly, breath work! As a result, this approach to massage can be considered work and requires a willingness to move and participate in remaining in the present. Huge physiological changes can be made such as the reduction of cortisol in the blood stream, which can lead to tissue healing, relaxation and decreased anxiety. Other benefits include increased ranges of motion in the joints allowing for increased potential of strength gain and increased longevity of the benefits. I aim to help restore, rejuvenate and prevent injuries through this approach which I believe helps the individual gain independence from pain or postural neglect.
Integrative Functional Massage™/Functional Massage and Movement Method is the combination of: Orthopedic Massage, Restorative/Corrective Postural Training, and Functional Yoga. IFM provides a structured protocol of 12 weeks to provide a whole being approach to your pain, health, longevity, restorative, and sports needs. However, per client basis, IFM can be tailored or modified to ensure that one visit will provide tools of change, ensuring that every session is high quality and provides an increased sense of wellbeing.
